What it does

Sentry's toolkit repository, holding the Sentry CLI, the Sentry MCP server and shared packages. The Claude Code plugin provides a sentry-mcp subagent that Claude delegates to when asked about Sentry errors, issues, traces or performance.

The hosted MCP service is reached at mcp.sentry.dev, and the README describes it as middleware to the upstream Sentry API, aimed at human-in-the-loop coding agents rather than general-purpose use. A stdio transport for self-hosted Sentry is also documented, using a Sentry user auth token with org, project, team and event scopes.

Install

Claude Code plugin (verified against the repo README's Claude Code Plugin section):

An experimental variant is also documented: claude plugin install sentry-mcp@sentry-mcp-experimental. The stdio route runs npx @sentry/mcp-server@latest with an access token, and is not reproduced in full here because the token is account-specific.
